Leuven Archaeological Research Seminar Call for papers Dear colleagues, With pride and joy, the Research Unit for Archaeology of the K.U.Leuven announces the birth of LARS: the Leuven Archaeological Research Seminar. This archaeological series of lectures is a new initiative by the Research Unit in order to bring together all interested researchers once a month for discussion of an archaeological topic. We kindly invite you to present a paper at one of these lectures. You can find more information below. Yours sincerely, The LARS team The research unit Archaeology of the K.U.Leuven organizes the Leuven Archaeological Research Seminar. The seminar will be held on a monthly basis and is intended for all students and researchers with an interest in archaeology. We hereby immediately kindly invite all interested parties, who at least have an MA degree, to give a presentation at one of the upcoming sessions. The field of archaeology is very broad and the topics presented in this seminar can be very diverse. What however binds us, and will bind the papers presented in this seminar, is our love/hate relationship with past and current archaeological theory, methodology and techniques, as well as its history of research. This will be the leading guide in all presentations and discussions and thereby creating a useful platform for all with an interest in archaeology. To make the seminar open for both Belgian and international students and scholars the preferred language (for both presentation and discussion) is English. The aim is to have a session every month on the 1st Thursday of the month, starting from October 2010 till June 2011, from 16.00 till 17.00 hour in one of the class rooms of the Faculty of Arts (exact location will be notified via e-mail). The presentations will be approximately 30 minutes with a discussion afterwards. After 17.00 hours, we hope that everyone will join us for drinks at the Fakbar Letteren where we can continue the discussion. Schedule 2010 - 2011 7 October 2010 | 4 November 2010 | 2 December 2010 | 17 February 2011 | 3 March 2011 | 7 April 2011 | 5 May 2011 | 2 June 2011 Interested parties wishing to present a paper on one of the seminars are kindly requested to contact Rick Bonnie (email@example.com
